Founded in 2001 by industry veterans Lou Betancourt and Paul Tracy, StreetAuthority is a financial research and publishing company with offices in Austin, Texas and Gaithersburg, Maryland.
Our mission is to help individual investors earn above-average profits by providing a source of independent, unbiased -- and most of all, profitable -- investing ideas. We accomplish this via StreetAuthority.com and the publishing of over a dozen widely-followed financial newsletters.
Unlike traditional publishers, StreetAuthority doesn't simply regurgitate the latest stock market news. Instead, we provide in-depth research, plus specific investment ideas and immediate action to take based on the latest market events.
StreetAuthority spends over millions of dollars on research each year and employs a team of experts across the U.S. and Canada. Before joining us, these experts worked as senior analysts for Wall Street firms, financial advisors, investment relations presidents, and business reporters for major newspapers. As a result, we're able to uncover rare, profitable and compelling investing opportunities that you aren't likely to find anywhere else. We then present our research in simple, easy-to-understand language without the typical Wall Street double talk.
And investors don't have to worry about a hidden agenda behind our research like they do with most Wall Street analysts. We have no business relationship or "side deals" with the companies we write about. Unlike some financial firms, StreetAuthority receives no compensation or promotional fees whatsoever from the companies we cover in our news articles or on our website. We're a 100% unbiased source of information. Our only obligation is to you, our reader.
We strive to earn your business each and every day by offering thousands of free articles, special reports and stocks tips on our websites, and by selling all of our newsletters with one of the strongest 100% money-back guarantees in the business. Our entire business is built on making money for you -- our reader. We know you'll only stay with us if you profit.
The StreetAuthority difference isn't lost on investors. It's the reason why more than two million investors subscribe to our newsletters and why hundreds of thousands more read our content on StreetAuthority.com. Click here to see what readers are saying about us.
Our independent advice is driven by our dedicated staff of experts and researchers. Combined, we have more than two centuries of experience in the equity markets, and many of our editors are considered the leading authorities in their respective fields. Here's a look at some of our most decorated staff members...

Nathan has interviewed industry insiders like Paul Weisbruch and CEOs like Tom Evans of Bankrate.com, and has been quoted in the Los Angeles Times for his expertise on economic moats.

Before joining StreetAuthority, Andy spent ten years as a financial journalist, working for some of the nation's largest newspapers. After watching business from the outside for ten years, Obermueller got an inside look as a commercial lender with Wells Fargo's Business Banking Group.
Andy is a research fanatic who spends dozens of hours each week poring over economic data and corporate finances. Andy's expertise makes him a highly sought-after speaker at investment conferences across the country, and it also drives the success of his newsletter, Game-Changing Stocks.

We understand that investing based on someone else's recommendation takes an extraordinary amount of trust. That's why we do everything possible to put our subscribers and readers first. This includes:
We take pride in researching the ideas and commentary that we present to readers. This icludes exclusive interviews with CEOs, poring over SEC filings, and tapping our Bloomberg Terminal -- an exhaustive research resource costing roughly $25,000 per year.
As well, many financial publishers, brokerage firms and investment specialists accept advertising payments and promotional fees from the companies that they cover. Not StreetAuthority! Our research is independent, and we'd like to assure you that we are a 100% unbiased source of investing information. We never accept any compensation of any kind from the companies that we cover in our newsletters or on our website.
Over the years, we've put millions of dollars into the publishing of free content for our readers. This includes several different websites, along with thousands of website articles and issues of our free newsletters. Only a handful of financial sites have the ability to publish as much free content for their readers as StreetAuthority.
Our paid subscriptions feature some of the most subscriber-friendly rules around. Every paid subscription includes a risk-free trial period during which you are free to cancel and receive 100% of your money back. Most letters then offer a prorated refund after that -- cancel half-way through your subscription and you're still eligible to receive half of your money back.
Since our founding in 2001, we've grown by leaps and bounds. Here's a brief look at some of StreetAuthority's major milestones:
Paul Tracy and Lou Betancourt start StreetAuthority in Washington, D.C. Paul's experience makes him a perfect fit as StreetAuthority's Chief Investment Strategist, while Lou's marketing background helps the company start attracting readers.
Working nearly day and night, Paul and Lou begin to see their efforts take hold as the subscription count breaks the 10,000 mark. A newly built website consists of just three newsletters - StreetAuthority Market Advisor, Swing Trader, and Investor Update. Click here to see how our website looked way back then.
In May, Paul Tracy creates the "Beat the S&P" Portfolio as then-editor of Market Advisor. The portfolio quickly becomes one of Market Advisor's most popular features due to its strong performance.
The first issue of High-Yield Investing is published. At first, the publication focuses on well-known blue-chip stocks paying dividends. At the request of readers, editor Carla Pasternak begins to look in more obscure places for high yields, which causes High-Yield Investing's readership to soar.
StreetAuthority moves from online newsletters to print newsletters as well. The popularity of the print version of Carla Pasternak's High-Yield Investing proves to be an instant hit and helps boost the letter's circulation to more than 10,000 subscribers.
The company's Maryland operations move into their new office in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The new space houses StreetAuthority's growing administrative and customer service staff.
StreetAuthority moves its editorial operations to a new office in the hills of Austin, Texas. The extra space is welcomed as extra staff is brought on to handle the growth in popularity of StreetAuthority's products.
High-Yield International, the sister publication to High-Yield Investing, launches. At the time, it proves to be the most popular new product launch in StreetAuthority's history.
Proving to be our busiest year to date, we launch the redesign of our main StreetAuthority website, with the goal of becoming a destination for anyone searching for financial news and ideas. The new sites features daily free articles, improved stock quotes and easier navigation.
At the same time, we enjoy one of our most successful product launches: Amy Calistri's Stock of the Month.
Managing Editor Bob Bogda -- an industry veteran of 30 years -- also joins the StreetAuthority staff. With experience at The Wall Street Journal and Business Financial Publishing, Bob takes charge of the editorial direction and immediately sets out to boost StreetAuthority's daily news content.
SmallStocks.com launches, bringing readers news and investment ideas from the underreported small-cap universe. Combined with the growing popularity of StreetAuthority.com, we break the 1 million visitors per month mark across all our web properties.
Game-Changing Stocks, a sister publication of Fast-Track Millionaire, launches.
We also launch the new "Courses" section of our StreetAuthority website. This section provides free instruction on many of the techniques our newsletter editors use to make their profitable calls.
We launched several new products, including the Top Ten Stocks advisory and our website dedicated solely to information regarding trading, ProfitableTrading.com.
Later in the year, we launched Nathan Slaughter's Energy & Income, an advisory dedicated solely to income oriented energy plays.
In the month of October, we had over 2,000,000 people visit at least one of our websites -- the most traffic we've seen for a single month.
