Paul Rolfes is an award-winning reporter and editor currently based in Louisville, Kentucky. From 2001-2009, he was assistant business editor at The Courier-Journal, the largest daily newspaper in the state.

Paul has written and edited financial and technology news for two decades. While writing for a website focusing on small-cap stocks, he turned readers on to such finds as The Boston Beer Co. (NYSE: SAM), which climbed +47.5% in mid-2007 to a peak of nearly $54; PetMed Express (Nasdaq: PETS), which moved +23% in about three months; and Gulfport Energy (Nasdaq: GPOR), which posted a +24% gain within three months; among other winners.

Before moving to Louisville, Paul was with BridgeNews, a leading global financial wire service that supplied news and financial data to Wall Street professionals. He was senior technology correspondent, based in the Washington bureau.

Paul also worked for 16 years at The Columbus Dispatch (Ohio), where he supervised the editing and design of the business section.

His interests include investing, technology, computers and multimedia production. Another one of his passions stemmed from his award-winning coverage of horse racing, both as an industry and a sport, and for several years he was a popular handicapper of thoroughbred and harness tracks for the Dispatch.
