Virtual Reality Is Coming Sooner Than You Think

Last week, I told readers that our annual “Predictions” report on 10 game-changing trends for the next year and beyond had just been released to the public.

This is easily one of the most profitable (and popular) pieces of research we publish — and this year’s edition promises to deliver more of the same.

Today, I’d like to tell you about one of our predictions — and how it could deliver early investors a killing for their portfolio…

I’m talking about what we’re calling the “Virtual Reality Revolution.”

The Opportunity Of A Lifetime
The stock market is gearing up for a crash of historic proportions… Every sector, every asset class, every stock, every bond, oil, gold, real estate — it’s all getting crushed. But while many will be devastated, you don’t have to be one of them.  Instead, you need to be ready for the greatest profit opportunity of your life. And inside his BRAND NEW book, The Sale of a Lifetime: How the Great Bubble Burst of 2017 Can Make You Rich, Harry Dent reveals wealth-building secrets, 90 years in the making. The same secrets that forged billionaires like Rockefeller, Carnegie and Kennedy. But the time to learn them is NOW. Because once the crash begins, it may be too late. Grab your copy of Harry’s NEW book, right here!

I discussed this phenomenon briefly back in April. I told the story of how Japanese video game giant Nintendo developed a high-concept gaming platform called Virtual Boy that ended up being one of the biggest flops in gaming history. The reason was simple: although a great idea, the technology just wasn’t there. The folks at Nintendo, desperately looking for a way to unseat its competitors, leaned to far over its skis and tumbled.

Fast-forward to today, and it’s looking like virtual reality technology is reaching a critical mass.

Now, I know what you’re thinking. If you’re familiar with the headlines about this space so far, you may be thinking that this stuff is just for nerdy gamers. Think again. Virtual reality has far reaching applications in numerous industries.

Here’s what I said about virtual reality back in April:

“Imagine a doctor training for a complex surgical technique… a retiree working on his golf swing on Pebble Beach… a real estate agent showing a posh downtown penthouse to a client… school children from a disadvantaged neighborhood touring the ancient pyramids of Egypt… all of this is possible with a virtual reality headset.

If you think it sounds fanciful, you’d be right. But only partly. This is all coming right around the corner, and faster than you might think.

More than 5 million people already have a pair of Google virtual reality viewers. Virtual reality headsets from Facebook, HTC and Sony are expected to be released this year.

#-ad_banner-#In fact, an estimated $4 billion has flowed into virtual reality technology and applications since 2010.”

According to our research, one of the only factors still holding back the Virtual Reality Revolution is a simple lack of hardware. After all, playing a video game on your television is one thing. But rendering an entire digital world takes a whole lot of horsepower.

That’s why today’s enthusiasts need a state-of-the-art gaming console or an expensive custom computer just to enjoy the most basic VR gaming. As a result, it can be a hobby that’s both expensive and more than a little awkward.

But in 2017, one company is going to fix all of that…

For the last few years, this company has been working with Intel on a radical new digital storage technology that will revolutionize the way we experience virtual reality. This technology is called “3D XPoint,” and it will enable better games and more immersive virtual reality, while also doing away with some of the clunky hardware, giving VR the last little push it needs to really break into the mainstream.

To put it simply, this technology is proven to radically improve your computer’s memory at a lower long-term cost and with a much smaller device.

The best part: The technology is proprietary information, with our top pick holding the patent. So if you want it, you’ll have to get it from this company.

We already know that miniaturizing hardware can lead to a revolution in consumer products. (Remember the big, clunky, brick-sized mobile phones from the 1980s?) From wearable VR hardware, crisper interfaces with better graphics and more memory… it’s nothing short of game-changing.

Now, I can’t reveal the name of the company here. But we do give away the name of this company in our special presentation (which can be found here). But suffice it to say, this company is sitting in the catbird seat in the VR market as it stands today. Any and every company dabbling in virtual reality will need the technology this company has.

Again, I can’t go into all the details here — we simply don’t have space for it. But this is easily one of the biggest opportunities we’ve ever identified in our annual predictions report.

Our team has laid out everything you need to know about this and other cutting-edge stocks in “10 Shockingly Profitable Predictions for 2017.” In this new report, you’ll learn more about the Virtual Reality Revolution along with the rest of our predictions for 2017 — and the picks to go along with them.
