The Wall Street Journal calls it "world-changing."

Both the Financial Times and CNBC say it's a "game-changer."

And Business Insider calls it the "next trillion dollar industry."

Stop me if you've heard this before.

Longtime readers know I've written a lot about ground-breaking companies, trends and products that end up attracting this kind of copy from the financial press. But as I've said before, it's often not the large, well-known company getting all the headlines that makes the outsized gains for investors. After all, when the mainstream press gets a hold of the kinds of ideas I regularly discuss in my newsletter, it's often too late.

Instead, it's the smaller, lesser-known companies behind the innovation that savvy investors should put their money into -- and it's important to get in on the early stages before things really kick off.

That's where the real money is made.

For example, up until recently I've dedicated a lot of time to telling readers of my Game-Changing Stocks newsletter about the revolutionary advances being made by Apple with its payment technology -- Apple Pay -- and how investors can profit from the companies working behind the scenes to make it happen.

This has led to gains of as much as 300% for subscribers who have followed my recommendations since I first began writing about them in late 2012.

I think there's still good money to be made from these picks, but the truth is you should always be looking for "the next big thing" that could deliver triple-digit plus gains if you want to get ahead in the market.

Luckily, I think I've found it.

It has to do with a little-known device that has the potential to help secure an energy-independent future for every single man, woman and child in America.

If that sounds like a big deal -- it's because it is.

Make no mistake, my research indicates this device could eventually lead to the end of OPEC, the coal industry and fracking as we know it.

The device hasn't even hit the market, but already deep-pocketed buyers are using their clout to acquire it.

School districts, Fortune 500 companies, universities, homeowners -- a wide range of groups are scrambling to get it. In fact, the waiting list is already over 100,000 people long.

That's why the eccentric billionaire Elon Musk is constructing the largest building in the world to create more...

And it's why the head of the federal government's Energy Grid research department has declared, "This is the future, now."

For the past several years, Elon Musk and his band of scientists at Tesla Motors (Nasdaq: TSLA) have worked feverishly at their lab in Fremont, California on this device, which could provide enough energy to power a house.

What This Means, And How You Can Profit
Thanks to Tesla, the world is about to see that an energy sea-change has been quietly unfolding before their eyes for several years now...

And it is about to make some investors very wealthy.

Even before Tesla entered the market with this mysterious device, everyday people, businesses and governments were already searching for a way to wean themselves off the grid as best they could. In fact, over one million Americans are already off the grid in one way or another. And many, many more will join them in the years to come.

Forbes even went so far as to call the movement a full-blown "revolution."

Right before our eyes this technology is quietly becoming the "Gasoline of the 21st Century."

We're talking about a $1.3 trillion opportunity.

Bottom line: The energy grid as we know it has played a vital role in creating the modern world. But we're finally taking the next step. We're entering the era of energy independence -- a new world order where average folks like you and me enjoy unprecedented energy freedom.

Of course, you probably wouldn't go wrong investing in Tesla. I recommended it back in 2010, and it delivered 397% gains to my readers in three years.

Since it's galvanizing this movement, it will likely see more gains over the long haul. However, as I mentioned before, in cases like this, it's the lesser-known plays that usually deliver the biggest gains.

That's why I've developed a special presentation that tells you everything you need to know about this exciting technological development. (You can access it here.) You'll also learn how to get the names and ticker symbols of my three favorite companies behind this technology that could have even more upside than Tesla in the years ahead.
